Gold & silver

Gold and silver. Lasting value.

Something valuable may have been sitting in a drawer for years. We examine your pieces and explain how material, purity and weight contribute to their valuation.

Gold

Rings, chains, scrap gold, bars and coins. Individual or damaged pieces of jewellery are worth a closer look too.

Silver

Silver jewellery, cutlery and individual pieces. We examine the material and distinguish silver from silver-plated objects.

Troy ounces · Coins · Bars

A measure of weight. A closer look at value.

Gold and silver are often measured in troy ounces. What matters is how much pure precious metal a coin or bar actually contains. We help you understand these details.

1 fine troy ounce ≈ 31.1035 g

Pure precious metal · often marked internationally as “1 oz”

Fine weight and total weight differ

An alloy can contain other metals. We consider both total weight and fineness to determine the pure precious-metal content.

Understanding coins and bars

Weight markings and stamps provide initial clues. For a valuation, we examine the individual piece and its condition.

From metal content to an offer

The current metal price provides a basis. We discuss an individual offer after inspection, explaining how it relates to your piece.

Consignment

Two ways to sell your watch.

The right choice depends on how you would like to sell. We explain both options.

01

Outright purchase

We value your watch and make an offer. If we agree, you sell directly to us.

  • Offer following an inspection
  • Agree the price and arrangements beforehand
  • Sell directly to Relojería de Oro
02

Sale on consignment

We offer your watch for sale on your behalf. It remains yours until sold; we agree the terms in advance.

  • Agree a minimum price, commission and term
  • We handle finding a buyer
  • See the sale price, commission and payout clearly
